Textbook!
Ok, so since my birthday at the end of May I have been working on getting my blood pressure under control. My entire adult life, every time I went to the doctor my BP was high, but both I and the doctor’s had always written it off as “white coat syndrome”. I went for a physical in May and mentioned that it was always high, plus it was like 175/115 that day which is insane. So we tried a month of diet and exercise…nada. Then he put me on hydrochlorothiazide. I went back in a month and this seemed to help a bit, my BP was down to about 155/98. It was now the end of July and it wasn’t down enough so we tried a higher dose. After two months my BP didn’t really change. So I went back to the Dr. this week (October 3rd) and he added another drug, lisinopril. So now, after just two days on that I took my BP and guess what 121/80. So for the first time in like, forever, my blood pressure is normal. Not just normal, but textbook normal! I don’t like textbooks, but this I’ll take!!!!!
