Playin Around
During Jonah's first wedding he slept through the first part - then during the Eucharistic Prayer we had to whip out the books. He didn't really care about the lovey dovey stuff!

This weekend Jonah learned to grab his feet and roll to the side. There's always something new! How exciting!

Jonah loves his Bumbo - he can sit up like a big boy and play. It was hard for him though - should he play with Sophie or watch the Packers get beat?
Playin Around Cont...
Jonah loves his Sophie!!!! Especially because she makes noise!

We were trying to play but he kept watching the Packer Game. Oh, what a good Yooper!

Aunt Kim got Jonah a Halloween bag of goodies - including this stuffed ghost! He thought it was really neat. Boy - does he look tired!!!!
Rob made us dinner and we were so excited because Jonah was napping and we thought we would be able to eat at the same time. But - his nose smelled the goodness and of course woke up 5 minutes before dinner. So, he sat on our laps during dinner and played with a little toy that I (ma) had found him. Then he was captivated by the camera. What a cutie!!!

My Trip Over the Mighty Mac
On Friday mama and papa strapped me in my car seat and headed downstate to see Grandma and Grandpa Hardenbergh. Mom kept telling me how much fun we were going to have and how we were going to play, take naps, sing songs and the big event of the day - go over the Mackinaw Bridge. I humored her and smiled and cooed - but I really didn't know what the heck she was talking about. I was fine for the first half hour - mom played with me and we read books. But, she's just so pretty and so nice that I wanted her to hold me...but she refused. I was SO TICKED! So, I pitched a fit but she didn't seem to do anything about it. Then we started going over this bridge business. What's the big deal? I can't see out the window anyway. I wanted out of this contraption!!!! I was so mad! So I started to cry - and do you know what mom did????? She dug out her camera and started taking pictures of me! Can you believe it?

I decided to show her how I felt about her darn flash and zooms lens:

Once we got almost half way across the bridge I realized that this lady was not going to break. So, in my last ditch effort I decided to be pitiful. I shoved my bottom lip down - but nothing. Then I thought - "I know, I'll do my ...ooooo, oooo, oooo" (that always gets her)
But nothing! Once we were past the highest part of the bridge I became exhausted! Screaming is a lot of work! But, I still had a wild card in my back pocket - my eyes!!!!! So, I just sat and stared at mama... and gave her those eyes. She was almost broken - she had tears in her eyes and kept saying to papa, "I hate this... he's so sad". (I was, it's not fun being stuck in a car seat for that long)
The Mighty Mac won
I just couldn't keep it up any longer. By the time we were leaving the bridge I had fallen alseep.
Even though it was a tough trip down - it was so worth it to see all of the Hardenbergh family and friends! I had a great time and everyone thought I was so cute! The trip home wasn't as hard... I was pretty tired so I figured it was just easier if I gave up and slept. (although, I did have my moments) Mama is happy now that she can hold me and papa is so relieved to be out of the car.
