We Have Lots to be Thankful For...

What an amazing year it has been for us! First the a dream come true with the announcement of a new little life and then the daily blessings, joy, and peace he brings to us. When I (Catherine) woke up this morning the first thing I did say a quiet prayer thanking God for walking with us through this last year.

Our day started out fairly normal. No alarm clock was needed - we woke up to a little boy yelling for us. After his bottle, cereal and two hour nap it was time for a bath and then play time. During playtime we put him in his excersaucer while we started packing for the day and getting ourselves ready. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was on - which has always been one of my favorite things. I told Rob how when I was a little kid I would become unglued when Santa would come over the TV screen. It was so cool as I watched Jonah play and watched Santa. The excitement came over me again - the sleigh, Santa and the ticker tape! This time was different - a little boy sat by me watching with me.

Jonah sat at the foot of the table - playing with one of his favorite toys - his bib!

Cameron (my "step" nephew) loves Jonah. The two of them sat on the chair chillin out. What else is there to do after enjoying a wonderful meal?

Gettin Ready for Advent

Monday night we went to a Family Faith and Fun Night at our parish. The activity was making Advent wreathes. We started out with a prayer, then we made our wreathes and Fr. Jed blessed them lastly we had a snack followed by singing some songs. We invited Jonah's Godparents (sorry Uncle Dave - we figured it was too far for you to travel).

Anne Marie and Jonah getting ready to do some craftin!

Jonah thought the pine was really interesting!

When Fr. Jed (one of Jonah's Godfathers) said, "Let us pray", Jonah turned his head and sat up straight. He didn't take his eyes off of him the whole time. We was really something!
